1. Christian Counselling: Training that helps Christians care for the hurting

This short course provides you with the fundamental knowledge base to better understand the complexity of the experience of misery or suffering in order to lend a helping hand or to give appropriate advice and guidance in times of turmoil. As a first of its kind in Kigali, the course provides aspiring counselors with training in the basic concepts and deepens existing counselors with additional necessary skills to practice counseling in different contexts.

Who should enroll?

This course is ideal for all Christians but particularly focuses on lay counselors, those in the helping professions, and those involved in positions often requiring them to listen to the challenges and problems people are facing.

This course leads learners on a journey of personal growth and effective ministry leadership. It explores the origin and loss of biblical identity and encourages renewal through three philosophies of teaching. Participants develop strategic ministry plans, accepting God's purposes for their lives. The course emphasizes asking key questions, growing spiritually by the Holy Spirit, and redirecting affections towards Christ. Finally, it equips learners to grow leaders through Bible read-thru groups, channeling focus for a purposeful future.
